No No Girl, Eight East Productions 2022

Mika Dyo is an actor, director, and costume designer based in LA.

They are passionate about amplifying the stories of silenced communities. As a Japanese American woman, she has spent her life educating others about the mass incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII and how that event continues to affect the community today. 


Mika recently graduated from California State University Long Beach with a BA in Theatre Arts. There she was a part of shows including centering queer and BIPOC voices such as Magnets (a student-written lesbian love story) and American Distortion (a devised anthology about what it means to be "American"). She made her film debut in Eight East Production's No No Girl (2022) as Sue Hasegawa. She was seen recently in the staged reading of Question 27, Question 28 at the Aratani Theatre alongside Tamlyn Tomita. Catch her in the new Wong Fu Productions’ sketch: The First Asian Bachlr!
